Glimpse of Sunset at Baker Beach

Baker Beach has one of the best sunset views in San Francisco as the sun reflects on the bridge. While we were there on a foggy evening, a slight break in the clouds let in some light. Swimmers were in the water watching the light in the clouds.

Sunset light illuminated the clouds over the Golden Gate Bridge, providing a surreal image.

Pumpkins Galore

Pumpkin Fest, a Brevard tradition since 2015, is an annual family-friendly Halloween-themed event held at Silvermont Park. Although late to the festival, here are some artsy images of pumpkins, which are also associated with Thanksgiving.

Visit to Brevard, North Carolina

Brevard, NC, is best known for its natural setting as the “Land of Waterfalls,” its abundance of outdoor recreation options, including hiking and mountain biking, and its population of white squirrels. It’s also recognized for charming downtown with its unique shops and restaurants.

We visited Brevard in September 2025 and will be posting images from there. Here are the photos of its Main Street.

Hart Square Village

Our Catawba Valley Camera Club went on a private excursion to Hart Square Village last month, and we will post images captured there in the coming weeks.

Hart Square (located in Vale, North Carolina) is the nation’s most extensive collection of historic log cabins. Dr. Bob Hart, with the help of friends and volunteers, envisioned rescuing these pioneer structures and moving them to Hart Square to be preserved and enjoyed by the public. The square has 103 structures and is laid out well with an informative map and well-marked signs.
