Costa Rica Landscape

According to Conde Nast Traveler, Costa Rica is the most beautiful country in the world. On its Top 40 list, Costa Rica has crowned in the first place thanks to its well-known nature’s attractiveness. Here are some landscape images while travelling to Arenal and Monteverde.

Postcards from Costa Rica

Costa Rica is a rugged, rain-forested Central American country with coastlines on the Caribbean and Pacific. Though its capital, San Jose, is home to cultural institutions like the Pre-Columbian Gold Museum, Costa Rica is known for its beaches, volcanoes, and biodiversity. Roughly a quarter of its area is made up of protected jungle, teeming with wildlife including spider monkeys and quetzal birds.

The Costa Rican flag has five stripes – the one in the middle with the red stripe twice as big as the blue and white. Blue stands for the Costa Rican sky that works like a shield. White symbolizes peace. Red shows the heroism and energy for the Costa Ricans when it comes to defend their principles (like democracy).

Will be sharing postcard images from a December 2022 trip to Costa Rica using the colors of their flag.

Partial Solar Eclipse at Sunset in Kayavarohan

We end our series of images from India with a spectacular sighting on October 25, 2022 of a partial solar eclipse at sunset in Kayavarohan, Gujarat, India. The moon passed in front of the sun causing a partial solar eclipse, the last solar eclipse of 2022.

Tadoba – Birds

The existence of River Andhari inside the Tadoba National Park in India gives way to a wide diversity of water birds, and raptors. There are approximately 195 species of birds that have been recorded in the park, including three endangered species, including the grey-headed fish eagle, the crested serpent eagle, and the changeable hawk-eagle. Not a big bird watcher, but captured some bird images in the park.

Images in Fog – Bass Lake

Fog creates a mystic environment for photographers. While the clarity is somewhat blurred, it adds a bit of mystery to the images. Normally a clear lake on a sunny day, Bass Lake in North Carolina is shrouded in fog creating an eerie image.

Reflections – in Landscape

The wonderful thing about using reflections when taking photos is that they can completely alter the image from something fairly straightforward to something richer or abstract or otherwise more artistic. Here is a reflection of the landscape at sunset in a small body of water.
