The Golden Gate Bridge is a suspension bridge spanning the Golden Gate, the one-mile-wide strait connecting San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean. There are numerous images of this landmark and we are presenting some different views.

Sitting in the gondola at the top most position on the SkyStar Ferris wheel when it was in Golden Gate Park, these are the wonderful views of San Francisco.



The 14th-century fortress Bolton Castle in Yorkshire, England is, incredibly, still owned by the barons Bolton, who built the castle. It has never been sold and has always been inherited by descendants of the Scrope family, who were powerful and enjoyed roles at the royal court over several generations. Sitting on top of a hill, it’s still a perfect storybook castle – with restored medieval gardens offering a spectacular view.


The three stepped waterfalls at Aysgarth have been a tourist attraction for over 200 years. More recently they provided a dramatic setting for a scene from the Hollywood movie Robin Hood Prince of Thieves. A viewing spot gets you closer to the Middle Asygarth Falls.



No visit to York is complete without a stroll along part of the 2 miles of historic walls that have protected the city for nearly 2000 years. The York City Walls offer spectacular views including those of York Minster.


Chimney Rock at Chimney Rock State Park, North Carolina, is a nature lover’s paradise with spectacular views and incredible hiking trails. They combine to create a mountain experience that is postcard perfect.

From approximately 4,000 feet above sea level, the views from Chimney Rock are spectacular. Even on a cloudy day, Lake Lure appears grand. One of the most beautiful man-made lakes in the country, Lake Lure is nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. Located about 27 miles from Asheville, Lake Lure sits in the Hickory Nut Gorge, surrounded by lush mountain tops and sheer granite cliffs.



Located in Rutherford county 25 miles southeast of Asheville, Chimney Rock State Park offers some of North Carolina’s most dramatic mountain scenery. The Park’s 535-million-year-old monolith called Chimney Rock can be accessed via a state-of-the-art elevator or the nearly 500-step Outcroppings Trail. At the top, guests can enjoy 75-mile panoramic views of the Hickory Nut Gorge and Lake Lure.

Pacific Heights is a posh residential enclave known for its architecturally significant homes in San Francisco. A pair of grassy hilltop parks, Lafayette and Alta Plaza, and the Lyon Street Stairs provide sweeping views of the bay.
