Sunburst in Monochrome

A “Starburst” of “Sunburst” in photography refers to capturing the sun in your photo where you can actually see the sun’s rays in a star like shape. The sunburst effect is created from pointing your lens at a bright source of light such as the sun. As the light passes through the aperture blades of a lens, it renders the sun’s rays in a star like shape with points of light radiating out from the center.

Here is a monochrome version of a sunburst captured at around sunset on the river front in Washington, North Carolina

Sunset at Sunset Beach

As the name suggests, Sunset Beach (in North Carolina) is known for its breathtaking sunsets. One can watch the sun sink into the horizon from the beach, the pier, or one of the many waterfront restaurants, creating a picture-perfect end to a perfect day. Will be posting images from sunrise and sunsets at this beach.

Sunset at the Temple

Located in Vadodara district of Gujarat, Kayavarohan Shiv temple is one of the sixty-eight ‘teerthas’ (Pilgrimage) of Lord Shiva as mentioned in the Shiva Purana. According to the legends, Lord Shiva took the incarnation of Lakulish in this temple. Lord Shiva took the form of a brahmin child so the place is known as Kayavarohan. Kayavarohan lingam represents the formlessness and uniqueness of Lord Shiva.

Visitors enjoying peace and serenity at the temple around sunset.
