Foggy Day at Baker Beach

After photographing the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, California, from various locations, we ventured to Baker Beach on a foggy evening.

Baker Beach, located in San Francisco’s Presidio, is a scenic, mile-long beach famous for its stunning views of the Golden Gate Bridge. While it’s a popular spot for photography, the foggy weather makes it challenging.

Cape Barren Goose

The Cape Barren Goose, at Sylvan Heights Bird Park,  is a very large, pale grey goose with a relatively small head. Its stubby triangular bill is almost concealed by a very prominent greenish-yellow cere (skin above the bill). It has rows of large dark spots in lines across the scapulars (shoulders) and wing coverts. The legs are pink to deep red and the feet black.

Middle Level Asygarth Falls

The three stepped waterfalls at Aysgarth have been a tourist attraction for over 200 years. More recently they provided a dramatic setting for a scene from the Hollywood movie Robin Hood Prince of Thieves. A viewing spot gets you closer to the Middle Asygarth Falls.
