Devils Tower is a laccolithic butte composed of igneous rock in the Bear Lodge Mountains in northeastern Wyoming. Image circa 1985.
Nikko is a small city in Japan’s Tochigi Prefecture, in the mountains north of Tokyo. It’s the site of Toshogu, the famed Shinto shrine established in 1617 as a lavish memorial for Tokugawa Ieyasu, founding ruler of the Tokugawa shogunate, or Edo Period.

Working on a project to convert old slides from all over the world to digital images. Due to the age of the slides the conversion is not of high quality, but the subject of the images is quite interesting – especially with the changes in the landscape over passage of time.
