Glimpse of Sunset at Baker Beach
Baker Beach has one of the best sunset views in San Francisco as the sun reflects on the bridge. While we were there on a foggy evening, a slight break in the clouds let in some light. Swimmers were in the water watching the light in the clouds.
Sunset light illuminated the clouds over the Golden Gate Bridge, providing a surreal image.

Interesting and Iconic Bridges
A bridge is a structure built to span a physical obstacle (such as a body of water, valley, road, or railway) without blocking the way underneath. It is constructed for the purpose of providing passage over the obstacle, which is usually something that is otherwise difficult or impossible to cross.
We will be posting for the next period images of interesting and iconic bridges from my collection. Here is a most often photographed image of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco.

Rising Above the Fog
The iconic Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco rises above the fog. The Golden Gate Bridge has an influence in directing fog as it pushes up and pours down around the Bridge. The fog hugs the ground and then the warm, moist air condenses as it moves across the bay or land.

The 1.7-mile-long Golden Gate Bridge, an icon of the San Francisco Bay region, connects the city of San Francisco to Marin County, California. At its completion in 1937, the suspension bridge was considered an engineering marvel—the longest main suspension bridge span in the world.
