Half Moon Bay has some of the best beaches in the San Francisco Bay Area, with opportunities to swim, hike, explore tide pools, or relax.

Linville Falls has two sections – Upper and Lower – and can be viewed from four vantage points. Linville Falls thunders through a towering cliff before pooling in a deep, wide basin below the waterfall and flowing downriver through the 12-mile gorge.

Due to the overhanging cliff one can stay dry and safe even when behind Dry Falls, North Carolina

The cliffside Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse in Acadia National Park, Maine marks the entrance to Bass Harbor on the southwestern side of Mount Desert Island. The lighthouse, built of brick in 1858 on a stone foundation, stands 56 feet above high water.
The best view of this lighthouse is from the ocean, but this side view shows the treacherous rocks of the cliff.
