Tickseed is a native perennial wildflower in the aster family. It has very showy bright yellow flowers and blooms from late spring to late summer. Saw this at Fullerton Botanical Garden.

This plant and the pride of Madeira look very similar to plants that I see my daily walks… really lovely. Great pics. ❤️❤️
That’s such a cheerful pop of yellow — tickseed always looks like it’s holding onto summer a little longer than everything else in the bed. Fullerton Botanical Garden is a lovely place to catch it too; botanical gardens have quietly become our go-to when we’re traveling with the kids and need somewhere everyone can wander at their own pace. Lovely capture.
