An ideal place to view the the enormous rock relief on the north face of Stone Mountain, the largest bas-relief in the world. The carving depicts three Confederate figures during the Civil War: Stonewall Jackson, Robert E. Lee, and Jefferson Davis.

Bernal in Mexico is also a large stone monolith. I don’t think people climb it as they do Stone Mountain or Half Dome–or if they do it is not a beaten path.
