As we end our posting of images from India, the rural pond provides a great metaphor about India. The pond is stark but there is still the beauty of lotus flowers in it.

If you look past the multitude of people living in somewhat primitive conditions in a still developing nation, one can see the overt and hidden beauty of India and its people.
