While I enjoy and admire much of your work, I take some issue with you over this particular post, or, at least with the text.
Is not the ‘perfection’ of any example of a species partly an expression of it’s adaptability and versatility of function? That a saguaro may exist as a saguaro, and as shelter and nutrient to other species is part of that perfection.
Homo sapiens is no exception to this multiplicity of function.
Digger, you make valid points. While I was comaring the “imperfection” to other photos of saguaros that I have taken, the shelter or nutirient that it provided is indeed perfection to that speccies.
