Seeing this massive fan by the gate of one home in Northside, Lexington, we could not determine what it was for. Does anyone have any guesses?

It is an industrial sized fan; they are used in mechanic’s shops/dry cleaner/laundries to move air. They are also used to encourage drying of perhaps some building project. Or it might have just been there as a emporary storage spot—it does block the gate in an interesting and obvious manner. I think I might have knocked on the door to ask.
